Interest in community unionism: I have written and published a number of articles on labor-community coalitions and alliances, living wage movements, Jobs with Justice, a community's "social justice infrastructure," and the like. I also in an earlier period produced a book on plant closing struggles and labor-community coalitions, as well as book chapters and articles on the same subject.

David Reynolds coordinates the Building Regional Power Research Network. The network brings together researchers and labor staff to document the growing examples of where labor and its community allies have put together promising and successful long-term strategies for building power at a regional level. He has been active in living wage organizing and co-authored an activist's handbook for organizing living wage campaigns.
